Via Interstate 5 - Southbound from Salem or Portland; or northbound from Eugene
Via Hwy 20 or 34 - Westbound from Lebanon, Sweet Home or Bend
From Interstate 5, take the Corvallis/Oregon State University exit onto Hwy 34 westbound. Travel approximately 10 miles west on Hwy 34. You will cross the Willamette River on the Harrison Blvd Bridge. Turn right at the signal at the bottom of the bridge onto 2nd St. (2nd St eventually becomes Hwy 20 and goes north to Albany.) Drive approximately half a mile, following the Willamette River on your right. Next, you will see a lane marked "Water Works Avenue" and a sign with "Public Works Department, City of Corvallis". Turn left onto Water Works Avenue and follow the road past the Wastewater Reclamation Plant and toward the two-story yellow administration building at the north end of the compound. Park in the lot nearest the small white water tower and enter through the double glass doors facing the lagoon.
Via Hwy 20/34 - Southbound from Albany
You will enter Corvallis on Hwy 20. Continue southbound on Hwy 20, passing the intersection with Circle Blvd and the east entrance to Hewlett Packard. Hwy 20 will become 2nd St. Approximately a mile and half past Circle Blvd, you will see a lane marked "Water Works Avenue" and a sign with "Public Works Department, City of Corvallis". Turn right onto Water Works Avenue and follow the road past the Wastewater Reclamation Plant and toward the two-story yellow administration building at the north end of the compound. Park in the lot nearest the small white water tower and enter through the double glass doors facing the lagoon.
Via Hwy 20/34 - Eastbound from Newport, Waldport or Philomath
You will enter Corvallis on Hwy 20/34. Continue eastbound on Hwy 20/34, following the signs to downtown Corvallis. Exit Hwy 20/34 onto northbound 3rd St, which is also Hwy 99W. Follow the Via Hwy 99W Northbound from Eugene directions below.
Via Hwy 99W - Northbound from Eugene
You will enter Corvallis on Hwy 99W, which will become 3rd St. Cross the Marys River bridge and continue north through downtown. Third St will become a one-way street, and you should stay in the center or right-hand lanes. The last traffic signal you pass before arriving at Public Works will be at the intersection of 3rd and Harrison. Continue approximately half a mile further north. You will see a small green sign for the Public Works Dept on your right and a large wooden sign that says "Public Works Department, City of Corvallis." Just as you begin to climb the overpass, turn right onto an unmarked driveway that takes off at a slight angle to the main road. You will pass through an open gate marked "private road". To your right will be the wastewater treatment plant. Follow the road parallel to the highway you just exited, to the end of the chain-link fence; turn right, and proceed to the parking lot nearest the small white water tower. Enter through the double glass doors which face the lagoon.
Via Hwy 99W - Southbound from Monmouth, McMinnville or Portland
You will enter Corvallis on Hwy 99W. Continue south on Hwy 99W, passing through intersections with Conifer Blvd, Walnut Blvd and Circle Blvd. Continue south, staying in the left lane of the southbound divided highway. About one mile past Circle Blvd, turn left on Buchanan, near the Wilson Motors Ford dealership, and proceed one block to the stop sign. Turn left onto Hwy 99W northbound, and immediately get into the right lane. Continue about 500 feet, and turn right immediately past a large wooden sign that says "Public Works Department, City of Corvallis". You will pass through an open gate marked "private road". To your right will be the wastewater treatment plant. Follow the road parallel to the highway you just exited, to the end of the chain-link fence; turn right, and proceed to the parking lot nearest the small white water tower. Enter through the double glass doors which face the lagoon.
