Construction Starts Soon on Two Downtown Street Projects
September 22, 2022 - The City of Corvallis Public Works Department is facilitating two projects within the downtown Corvallis and Oregon State University areas that will impact traffic flow between Monday September 26 through Friday October 7. Affected locations and associated traffic impacts include:
- Downtown corridor between 2nd and 9th Streets, from Harrison Blvd to Western Blvd: The City and Oregon Department of Transportation will be upgrading all traffic signals in the downtown corridor with new control hardware during the week of September 26. Travelers should expect delays to both east/west and north/south traffic flow during the week as coordination between successive traffic signals will be temporarily suspended during the work.
- Van Buren Avenue between 5th and 17th Streets: Asphalt grinding and paving will be taking place during the week of October 3. Travelers should expect one-lane travel on Van Buren Avenue with associated delays.
Thank you for your patience during this construction period.
