2020 Get There Challenge is on in Corvallis, Oct. 5-18
Build Skills, Stay Active and Win Prizes

COVID-19 has caused unprecedented disruption to daily life. Join us and pivot with new mindsets and lessons learned during this year’s annual 2020 Get There Challenge, running Oct. 5 through Oct. 18. The City of Corvallis is pleased to partner with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to endorse the Challenge, powered by Get There, a trip planning, transportation tracking and carpool matching tool. New this year, build skills and healthy habits by unlocking online achievements—many that can be done from home—to earn badges and points toward weekly and grand prize drawings.

Anyone age 18 or older who lives and/or works in Oregon can learn more and sign up for the Get There Challenge at any time, Oct. 5-18, by visiting www.GetThereOregon.org.

The 2020 Get There Challenge offers 20 different remote work and other transportation options achievements participants can unlock online at GetThereOregon.org to earn badges and points toward weekly and grand prize drawings. An achievement includes optimizing your home WiFi, sharpening bike maintenance skills, joining scavenger hunts, and logging remote work/telework days and trips made by bike, foot, transit, carpool, and vanpool.

“With the workplace quickly evolving, we are rethinking how to get things get done smarter and better—even if that means commuting to our living room to do so” said Josh Capps, Active Transportation Program Specialist with the City of Corvallis. “This year’s Get There Challenge helps Oregonians build skills, stay active, win some great prizes and have some fun, too.”

Weekly prizes include home WiFi extenders, Hydro Flasks, Dutch Bros coffee, gear from Showers Pass, and Fred Meyer, Cirello’s Pizza, Coffee Culture, and Cheesy Stuffed Burgers gift cards. Plus, one grand prize winner will receive a $500 cash card.

The Get There Challenge is sponsored by Comcast Business, RideAmigos, Scoop, Oregon E-Bikes, Ruffwear, Showers Pass, Black Star Bags, Enterprise, Transportation Options Group of Oregon and the City of Corvallis Active Transportation Group.
