New Online Parking Permit Renewal Option

August 26, 2020 - A new online renewal system for residential parking permits went live on August 19, offering a contactless alternative for City of Corvallis customers eager to follow pandemic guidelines and avoid renewing in person. And it’s popular, too – in the first week, the new system processed nearly 200 online parking permit applications, compared with 10 as in-person visits. Customers who applied online received their permits in the mail within 3 to 5 days.

Parking permits are managed by the Public Works Department. The move to this new system started in May and required an all-hands-on-deck approach from several City departments to get things up and running by August. The City sells around 1,000 permits per year, and officials are hopeful that customers will use this new online system for a majority of all renewals.
