Corvallis Man Arrested for Robbery
On July 7th, 2019, at 2:55am, Corvallis Police Department Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 300 block of NW 15st Street in Corvallis for a report of a male victim who had been held at knifepoint in his bedroom by an acquaintance, Manuel J. Pinedo (31) of Corvallis. The victim had returned home to find Pinedo inside his bedroom, at which point Pinedo pulled a knife and demanded money. The victim was held in his bedroom for over an hour, while Pinedo demanded money from him while threatening to cut the victim with a knife. The victim was able to eventually escape from Pinedo and call 911. Pinedo left the scene prior to police arriving, but officers located Pinedo around 6:00am in the area of Winco (2335 NW Kings Blvd). Pinedo was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was charged with Robbery I, Burglary I, Kidnapping I, Coercion, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Menacing with a bail amount of $387,500.
