Bad Checks

The Corvallis Police Department will accept "Bad Check" cases for investigation as long as the required Corvallis Police Department check acceptance criteria are met. A "Bad Checks" packet defines these criteria.  This packet must be completed with the submission of any "Bad Checks" to the Corvallis Police Department. 

Individual "Bad Checks" with a value of $400 or more and/or an aggregate of "Bad Checks" with a value of $400 or more from the same suspect or suspects will be assigned to an investigator for active investigation. "Bad Checks" with an individual value of less than $400 or an aggregate of checks with a value of less than $400 will not be assigned to an investigator for active investigation. It is the responsibility of individual businesses to utilize civil remedies to collect lost funds.
