MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION CLOSES NW VAN BUREN

Corvallis, Ore.

On Friday morning, August 23, 2024 at approximately 7:15 AM, Corvallis Police Department Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle collision in the 400 block of NW Van Buren Ave.

A driver at a nearby construction site is believed to have suffered a medical event, resulting in a two-vehicle collision on the roadway. The driver of the construction truck, a male Salem resident, was transported by Corvallis Fire Department medics to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The other driver did not require medical transportation.

NW Van Buren Ave was closed for approximately three hours while the major crash team processed the scene.
