Arrest Made in Dollar Tree Robberies
On April 14, 2023, at 1008 pm, Officers with the Corvallis Police Department were dispatched to the Dollar Tree located in the 2000 block of NW Circle Blvd for the report of a suspicious person trespassing in the stock room of the store after closing. When the officers arrived, through a window they could see the male suspect crouching down near the office of the store where employees were currently performing closing procedures. Officers immediately made entry into the store and the suspect ran out the back door. The male was quickly captured by officers outside the back of the store and identified as 18-year-old Isaac Harris of Philomath. A replica BB gun was located outside the office in the area Harris had been crouching down. Upon further investigation, officers determined Harris was the suspect from a similar incident that occurred on March 4, 2023 at the same location. In the first incident, the suspect held employees at gunpoint for a time then got away before the police arrived with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers were still investigating the March robbery when this incident occurred. Harris was transported to the Benton County Jail and charged with Robbery, Burglary, Theft, Menacing, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon for his involvement in both incidents.
