CALEA Onsite Public Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Corvallis Police Department is scheduled for a virtual assessment as part of the application process for reaccreditation which verifies that we continue meeting all applicable professional law enforcement standards.

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the reaccreditation process requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

As part of the virtual assessment process, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments.  Three options are provided to allow for input:

1. A public information session (GoToMeeting virtual format)*

A GoToMeeting virtual session will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 4:30 PM.  Send your name and email address to CPD.accreditation@corvallisoregon.gov by no later than Friday, December 3 at 12 Noon.  A GoToMeeting invitation will be provided to speak with the assessment team.

2. A telephone call-in session*

Agency employees and members of the community can offer comments to the assessment team by calling (541) 766-6954 on Monday, December 6, 2021, between 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
