Corvallis Police Arrest Suspects in Bias Crime Assault
On October 24th 2021, the Corvallis Police Department responded for a report of an assault which occurred at the 7-11 convenience store (746 NW Kings Blvd). The caller reported she was assaulted by three males and that during the course of the incident the suspects used homophobic and transphobic slurs. An investigation into the assault was initiated and assigned to the Corvallis Police Detective Unit.
On November 4th 2021, after a thorough and exhaustive investigation, Detectives from the Corvallis Police Department traveled to the Roseburg area, arresting the three alleged assailants, bringing them back to Benton County where they were lodged at the Benton County Jail.
Arrested are:
Dylan Guido (21) of Roseburg Bias Crime 1, Assault 3
Riley Westbrooks (21) of Myrtle Creek Bias Crime 1, Assault 3
Kyle Rackley (22) of Sutherlin Assault 3
Chief Nick Hurley extended his gratitude to the community for their patience and assistance stating, “Corvallis PD takes all cases of hate and violence seriously and our Officers and Detectives have been working on this case since it was reported. CPD’s commitment to our community is to conduct professional and impartial investigations recognizing the community’s concern for safety and justice. We extend our thanks to the members of the community who stood up to hate and assisted us in identifying the individuals involved in this case.”
