Corvallis Police Arrest Suspect for Armed Robbery of Bank
On July 15th, 2021, at approximately 3:53pm, Corvallis Police Department Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Key Bank branch located at 1817 NW 9th St. The suspect was reportedly armed with a large knife, which was brandished at the bank teller. The suspect fled the bank on foot with stolen cash.
Corvallis Patrol Officers, Detectives, and Community Livability Officers responded to the area and were able to locate the suspect hiding in a field on the east side of Hwy 99W. The knife and stolen cash were also located and recovered by Officers.
The suspect was identified as Zachary Williams, a 33-year-old male with no fixed address. Williams was arrested for Robbery I, Menacing, Coercion, Theft I, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
