Owens Farm Trails Project

Owen Farm Trail

About the Project:

Owens Farm is a dynamic property on the edge of Corvallis that incorporates land owned by the City of Corvallis, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Greenbelt Land Trust, and Benton County. This property sits at the center of a two-decades-long collaborative effort amongst the partners to establish and maintain a universally accessible trail system, restore historic structures on the property, and expand pedestrian and bicycle transportation access across Hwy 99. The project partners have adopted a trail plan and secured grant funding to install Phase I Trail Improvements in Spring/Summer 2025.

Many agency representatives and community members have been engaging with targeted audiences to ensure representation in the planning process. As a result, the first phase of universal trail focuses on four key themes: Fostering a Sense of Belong, Access to Nature, Cultivating a Feeling of Safety, and Enjoyment of the Outdoors. This trail system has the potential to be a radically inclusive space that provides unique and varied experiences for the whole community.
