CFD Special Rescue Team Conducts Water Rescue on the Willamette River

The call came in on an unseasonably hot day in June: “Swimmer in distress on the Willamette River.” After the call was dispatched, the Corvallis Fire Department’s C Shift swung into action. Emergency vehicles from Station 1 and Station 4, including an ambulance, a fire engine, and a truck hauling the department’s Special Rescue Team motorboat, sped south to the boat ramp at Crystal Lake.

911 Service District FAQ

In November 2019, Benton County voters will have an opportunity to consider a proposed service district to support emergency 911 dispatch services throughout Benton County, Oregon. If approved, the new district would replace the existing 911 agreement that dates back to 1983. Emergency telecommunications evolved in both technological capabilities and customer expectations in the 35 years since the original agreement was put into place.

City of Corvallis 90-Day Notice of System Development Charge Consideration (Parks and Recreation)

The City of Corvallis hereby issues public notice, pursuant to ORS 223.304, of its intent to consider changes in its system development charges.

A technical report addressing the methodology and calculation of the proposed charges will be available for review after Wednesday, August 7 at the Park and Recreation Administration Building, 1310 SW Avery Park Drive Corvallis, or by calling 541-766-6918.
