First Buffered Bike Lane Installed on NW Spruce Avenue

The City of Corvallis Public Works Department has installed a buffered bicycle lane along a stretch of NW Spruce Avenue near the intersection with NW 9th Street.

The City’s newly adopted Transportation System Plan calls for buffered bike lanes to gradually replace existing bike lanes throughout Corvallis where appropriate and space allows. City officials say the installation on Spruce Avenue is the first of a number of similar projects outlined in the Transportation Systems Plan.

Corvallis Police Alert is the notification system used by the Corvallis Police Department (CPD) to share information about road closures, detours, traffic impacts, law enforcement advisories, and other public safety messages. Corvallis Police Alert allows anyone in the Corvallis community to register to receive alerts from CPD via text SMS, email, or telephone call.

Annual Maximum Rent Increase

Oregon law requires Oregon's Department of Administrative Services to calculate and post the maximum annual rent increase percentage allowed by statute by September 30 for the upcoming calendar year. The allowable amount is a flat percentage rate plus the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, West Region (All Items), as most recently published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The maximum rent increase for the 2024 calendar year was 10.0%.
