Corvallis Police Arrest Suspect in Assault at Pioneer Park

Corvallis, OR – On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at approximately 12:01 p.m., officers with the Corvallis Police Department responded to a report of an assault involving a baseball bat at Pioneer Park, near the public restrooms located at 1300 SW Philomath Blvd.

Corvallis Police Department Achieves 30 Consecutive Years of Accreditation

Corvallis, OR - For the tenth time since becoming accredited in March of 1995, the Corvallis Police Department has once again been awarded CALEA reaccreditation, marking an incredible milestone of 30 consecutive years of accredited status. Founded in 1979, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) law enforcement accreditation process focuses on standards that provide best practices related to life, health, and safety procedures, and is considered the gold standard in police accreditation.

Street Work on 35th Street and Western Boulevard

March 18, 2026 - Grinding and paving along 35th Street and Western Boulevard will get underway in late March, according to Corvallis Public Works project engineers. This is the final step to complete a water pipeline replacement project that began last summer.

Corvallis Seeks Input on Draft Forest Plan

March 17, 2026 - The City of Corvallis Public Works Department is hosting an open house on April 6 to share the draft forest stewardship plan developed by the 

Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan Update Task Force prior to its review and consideration by the City Council. The City owns and manages the Corvallis Forest in the Rock Creek Watershed, which plays a key role in supplying the community’s drinking water.

C3 - Annual Spring Break Closure

Our annual maintenance week shut down is scheduled for March 21-27. During this time we will not be having open hours. We will be cleaning, counting and inspecting.

It is a time when the city maintenance team comes in to inspect and certify the kitchen, HVAC and other systems as well as make proactive repairs. Our team also works on purging closets, organizing cupboards and counting equipment.

We will do our best to answer the phones between 8am-5pm, but if we are away counting chairs, please leave a message. We will get back to you and appreciate your patience!

3/19: Route 7 Stop Closure

Due to work occurring at the north Hewlett-Packard stop, the following stop closure will be in place Thursday, March 19th from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.     

Outbound Route 7 Stop Closure:

Hewlett-Packard (10562): A temporary bus stop is located 100 feet west.
