Cathy Pettigrew is one of our many community members who has been inspired by our local parks to create beautiful art. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she decided to challenge herself to paint a new rose at the Avery Park Rose Garden every day for 10 days.

Since then, Cathy has become one of our many loyal visitors to the rose garden, and has made 275 paintings of the roses.This is her story.

September 15, 2026 - New residents have a few options for parking in Corvallis neighborhoods this fall. Permits in the city's three residential parking districts are now issued through a self-service portal that launched earlier this year.

Inbound Route 6 Stops Out of Service During Detour:

Western Blvd & 8^th St - During the closure, the nearest available stop is at the Downtown Transit Center

15^th St & Western Blvd - During the closure, the nearest available stop is at the Downtown Transit Center
