Game Day Detours on Saturday November 9, 2024

Due to the OSU football game, the following detours will be in place all day on Saturday November 9, 2024.    

Outbound Detour for Routes 3, 8, and Philomath Connection

Westbound on Jefferson Avenue, north on 9th St., west on Monroe Avenue, south on Arnold Way, west on Harrison Blvd, south on 35th Street, resume regular routes.

Osborn Aquatic Center Roof Assessment & Updates

In September 2024, routine maintenance on light fixtures at Osborn Aquatic Center revealed rust and corrosion on the steel beams that support the roof over the natatorium (which is the part of the building that houses the indoor pool, restrooms, and staff work areas).

Residential Demolition Proposed

1322 SW Sunset Dr.

A demolition permit application has been submitted to Development Services, to demolish an accessory structure (detached shed) at 1322 SW Sunset Dr.

As required under City Municipal Code Section 9.01.100.100, a minimum of 50 calendar days prior to issuance of a demolition permit, the owner shall be required to make the structure available to be acquired and moved by a willing party.

Parks and Recreation Operational Advisory Committee

Parks & Recreation Operational Advisory Committee members will engage on a variety of Parks & Recreation topics, from Parks and Trails to Recreation Programming and diversity and equity (among many more). Advisory groups are an important component of the City’s engagement with our diverse community. For many people, it is their first opportunity to get involved with local government.

South Corvallis Area Plan

Community Members are invited to participate in planning the future of South Corvallis.

Over the past few years, there have been a number of planning projects in South Corvallis. These include the ODOT 99W/South 3rd Street Facility Plan and a City-led plan to review land uses and transportation improvement opportunities in South Corvallis.

Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event

On Saturday, November 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Republic Services invites all residents of Benton County to bring their household hazardous wastes to 110 NE Walnut Blvd, Corvallis, OR 97330 for safe disposal and recycling. There is no charge for residential customers with household quantities of waste. The quarterly event is a chance for residents to safely and environmentally responsibly dispose of items that can’t be tossed in the weekly trash cart.
