Administrative Policy #10.16 - Library Programming and Event Selection

Purpose

To define principles that support the Library’s mission and goals to guide the planning and management of programs and events.  

Scope

Applies to any Library-sponsored or co-sponsored programs and events at all Library branches and at off-site locations that may be provided by Library staff, volunteers, contracted presenters, performers, or partners.  

Candidate Orientation Session (Mayor and City Councilor November 2026 General Election) [POSSIBLE QUORUM]

This session will orient candidates to the role and responsibilities of Mayor and City Council and share resources. The meeting is open to the public.

Presenters of this session will explain elected office in Corvallis and provide information to prospective candidates on the process of running for office. This event will not be a forum for debating issues, nor will it address how to campaign for office. Everyone is welcome, especially people who are interested in running for City Council or who would like to learn more about our City’s election process.

Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event

On Saturday, November 14, from 9:00am to 2:00pm, Republic Services invites all residents of Benton County to bring their household hazardous wastes to 110 NE Walnut Blvd, Corvallis, OR 97330 for safe disposal and recycling. There is no charge for residential customers with household quantities of waste. The quarterly event is a chance for residents to safely and environmentally responsibly dispose of items that can’t be tossed in the weekly trash cart. This includes household quantities (5 gallons max) of:

On Saturday, April 4, from 8:00am - 2:00pm, Republic Services invites all Corvallis residents to bring their household recycling to 110 NE Walnut Boulevard for the annual recycling event. There is no charge for residential customers bringing household quantities of recycling. Items that can be brought to the event include,

“Coffee With Your EDO” is a monthly event that will be held at a different cafe in Corvallis each month, starting in April and running through June.
