Fire Side Shelter
Location: Avery Park & Natural Area (southeast side)
The Fire Side Shelter is centrally located within the Park, close to the horseshoe pits, playground equipment and lots of open space. The nearby historic steam locomotive is a favorite place for kids to climb and explore. A walking/jogging trail winds through the park and along the Marys River, and the Rose Garden is within walking distance.The Fire Side Shelter is available to rent year-round.

The Fire Side Shelter is rented in 1-hour time blocks. Your reservation time must include time to set up and tear down your event. Your time block choices are 8 am to 10 pm. Rates are:
All fees are subject to change without notice. Additional fees/requirements may apply, especially for activities or events outside of a standard group gathering. Our staff can help you determine if these fees apply to your event. |
Optional Permits
- Alcohol may be consumed with the purchase of a $12 Alcohol Permit and proof of $1 million in General Liability Insurance. Read about Alcohol permits.
Additional Options to Enhance Your Rental
Softball, Horseshoe, Croquet & Volleyball Equipment: Equipment sets for playing softball, horseshoes, croquet, and volleyball are available for rent from the Avery Office for $10 per set, per day. A $25 credit card deposit is required (fully refunded upon return of the equipment).
