About the Natural Area

Chip Ross Natural Area offers beautiful views of Corvallis, the Willamette Valley, the Coast Range and the Cascade Mountains. The natural area is a designated off-leash area for dogs and their humans to socialize and enjoy. There are picnic tables at the Lester Avenue trailhead.

Riverfront Park was dedicated in 1994 and contains almost 12 acres elongated along the Willamette River. Owing to the site’s size and prominence, many local markets, festivals, walking/running events, and community activities utilize Riverfront Park. It is bordered to the north by the Aquathusist boat ramp and to the south by Shawala Point, which is at the confluence of the Willamette River and Mary’s River. Washington Park has open grassy areas for neighborhood kids to run and play on. It also features a playground and a ball field. This park faces the Charles Gaylord House, the oldest existing home in Corvallis. Dogs are prohibited in the playground area, but may otherwise be in the park on leash.

On the far northeast side of town, on Conifer Blvd between Hwy 99W and Hwy 20.  The address is 650 NE Conifer Blvd.

10.6 acres 

Village Green Park combines both natural and neighborhood amenities. The park features a natural area with the Jackson-Frazier Creek on the south border. It also has basketball courts, picnic tables and play equipment. Please note the baseball field is not part of the City property.

On the south side of Corvallis, on Tunison Ave., next to the Tunison Fire Station.  The address is 365 SW Tunison Ave.

In northwest Corvallis, on both sides of 29th Street, north of Walnut Blvd.  The address is 2875 NW Walnut Blvd.

Timberhill Park features an open grassy field and a landscaped entrance to the Timberhill Tennis Club and nearby housing developments. Check the Parks & Recreation Activity Guide for information on tennis classes offered through the Club. 

Timberhill Park should not be mistaken for the 47 acre Timberhill Natural Area.
