Open Streets Corvallis

Join us for our 6th annual free street festival that reimagines our shared public spaces. A mile of city streets between Cloverland Park and Garfield Park will be closed to vehicles and open up for people to walk, bike, and roll. You’ll find giant games in the parks, bicycle-powered rides, cultural activities, local food and drink, street installations, dance, music and more. There will also be a parade led by local funk and jazz band, DTW, leaving from Cloverland Park at 11:30 am.

Corvallis Fire Launches Apprentice Firefighter Program

May 28, 2024 - The Corvallis Fire Department is gearing up to launch a new paid firefighter apprentice program designed to create entry-level opportunities for diverse candidates interested in a career in the fire service.

The apprentice program is funded by a $1.6 million grant from the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. Corvallis was one of just three communities in the state to receive funding to create a new apprentice firefighter program.
