Alcohol Education & Party Smart Tips

Corvallis is home to Oregon State University and faces many of the challenges that are common to large college towns. The Corvallis Police Department acknowledges that students enjoy having a good time during their time in Corvallis, but it's important to respect your neighbors by following local laws. If you and your friends are enjoying a non-disruptive party that doesn't involve criminal activity, you'll probably never hear from CPD – and we want to keep it that way.

Special Response Fee Notice and Chronic Nuisance Property

The Corvallis Police Department's Community Livability Unit works to keep neighborhoods safe and secure, particularly in areas near the Oregon State University campus. CPD monitors calls for service throughout the City and occasionally issues a Special Response Fee Notice to discourage further criminal behavior at a particular property. Repeated infractions can lead to the property being labeled a Chronic Nuisance Property. Both of these designations are described in detail below.

Coffee with a Cop

Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and community members together – over coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other. The goal of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and community they serve by building relationships – "one cup at a time.”

Van Buren Bridge Project: Oregon Department of Transportation Briefing to Historic Resources Commission and City Council

The Oregon Department of Transportation will provide a briefing to Historic Resources Commission and City Councilors concerning the Van Buren Bridge Project.  This is only a briefing. No decisions will be made.  The Mayor, City Councilors, and Historic Resources Commissioners were invited to attend, but their presence is not mandatory.  As such, a quorum of the City Council and the Historic Resources Commission may be present.

Annual Water Quality Report Now Available

June 27, 2023 - The City of Corvallis Public Works Department’s annual water quality report is now available for 2023 to download at www.corvallisoregon.gov/waterreport.

The report offers a snapshot of the municipal water system in Corvallis, including an overview of how water is produced, treated, stored, distributed, and tested regularly to ensure a safe, secure, and affordable water supply for City customers.
