Kenneth McCarthy Selected as Corvallis Fire Chief

June 17, 2019 - Kenneth McCarthy has been hired as the new Fire Chief of the Corvallis Fire Department and started work on June 17. The announcement caps off a nationwide recruitment in which McCarthy distinguished himself from a field of well-qualified applicants.

Special Assessments

The City of Corvallis is moving to a new billing system for City Services. The first phase includes the monthly City Services billings which will be on-line in mid-June. Assessments and Loans are expected to  be available for online inquiry and payments by August 31st.

This second step in the upgrade will include both assessments and loans that require a City Lien. Specific types include:

Housing Loans

City Notified of Violation and Fine for Rock Creek Project

The City of Corvallis received notification that the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued a notice of violation and a $6,600 fine associated with a construction project at the Rock Creek Watershed Reservoir.
