Hwy 99 Facility Plan Stakeholder Advisory Group Meeting - January 12 @ 10:30a @ Online - The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) continues to make progress on the Hwy 99 Facility Plan. This planning effort will inform how investments can be made to improve the transportation system in south Corvallis. It will address the safety, comfort, and attractiveness of walking and biking in south Corvallis as well as vehicular safety, mobility, and access on Hwy 99W. A Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) is meeting to provide on going feedback as ODOT progresses through this planning phase. WHNA to Meet with County Representatives re Traffic Calming - January 13 @1:30p - 3:00p @ online - The West Hills Neighborhood Association will host an online meeting with representatives from Benton County to discuss traffic calming on SW West Hills Road. The primary focus will be on safety concerns. Request meeting details.
Corvallis School District 2022 Local Option Levy Survey - Due January 13 - The Corvallis School Board will be placing a ballot measure on the May 2022 election ballot to renew the current local option levy through June 2027. The current levy expires June 30, 2022. The school board is conducting a survey to gather public input on funding priorities in our schools. If you would like to provide input, please take the survey to help district staff decide how local option levy funds would be used if the levy passes. Take the Survey (English | Spanish)
Know Your City - Emergency Planning: How is the City of Corvallis Prepared? - January 19 @ 7:00p - 8:30p @ online - This year's League of Women Voters Know Your City program will kick-off with an event focused on how the City of Corvallis is preparing for a disaster. Dave Busby, the City’s Emergency Planning Manager, will explain what plans have been made to deal with the many types of events that could affect our community (fire, tsunami at the coast, flood, earthquake). SWNA shares Water Conservation Tips - The Skyline West Neighborhood Association encourages other neighborhood associations and groups with households on wells to conserve water. With all the recent rain, this main seem strange, but water savings and conservation is a year-round task made even more important by the overall long-time drought in Oregon. Read the newsletter.

Corvallis Parking Program Audit Presentation to City Council - January 6 @ 4p @ Online - The City of Corvallis hired a consultant to audit the City's parking program and evaluate seven different components that affect parking citywide. The City Council received a presentation and recommendations regarding the audit findings at a recent work session. Watch the presentation.
Change in Occupancy Status - Corvallis has historically limited the number of occupants in a unit to no more than 5 unrelated people. Effective January 1, 2022, cities are no longer allowed to regulate the maximum number of occupants based upon familial or non-familial status. Interim rules and policies are now available on the City's website and are now in effect. The interim rules will remain in place until permanent changes and code amendments that comply with the new State law are adopted. View the interim rules. Ask a question.
