Porter Park Playground Improvements Meeting November 3 @ 5:30p @ Online - The Parks & Recreation Department has received a small grant to help update the playground at Porter Park! As we embark on the planning process, we need your feedback! Share your thoughts, ideas, and aspirations with City staff by attending the virtual meetings, visiting the website, and participating in an upcoming survey. Parks & Recreation staff will provide a project overview, including site opportunities and constraints and offer insights into the community's broader park system needs during this week's virtual meeting. Register to attend.

Strategic Operational Plan 2022 - 2026 - The City's Strategic Operational Plan, known as the SOP, is a work plan to align our city's current priorities and work efforts to the Community Vision. The SOP connects city operations, programs, and plans to Corvallis' vision and goals and establishes the priorities for work efforts over the next five years. The SOP is updated each January and City staff and elected officials are beginning their efforts to evaluate work completed in 2021 and plan for work through 2026.  The SOP will be discussed at this week's work session and the Council is tentatively scheduled to consider adoption on January 18, 2022. Attend the work sessionView the packet.

Announcements & Upcoming Events

Bus Service Reductions Begin Today - November 1 - The pandemic has created an ongoing shortage of transit drivers. Drivers with a CDL are in such high demand that it is extremely competitive to attract and retain them. Our local service contractor is interviewing and seeking new drivers but has not been able to secure staff sufficient to drive Corvallis' full schedule and service reductions will begin today. Full service will continue on weekdays. All current reductions will be focused on Peak Routes and Night Owl services.  Learn moreView the bus schedule.
