New This Week 

Skyline West Neighborhood Debris Days are ON - September 25 - 28 - The SWNA received a $500 grant from  NFPA/State Farm Wildfire Community Preparedness months ago. The neighborhood's annual spring event was postponed due to COVID-19; however, in light of the current conditions, the neighborhood has agreed to hold the event, with all COVID-19 safety precautions in place, this month.  

A Message from Republic Services - Republic Services did not collect trash along some routes last Wednesday and Friday due to our unusual health threats. If you are on one of the affected routes, Republic Services will pick up extra bags in the amount of your cart on Wednesday and Friday this week. 

City Natural Areas are Closed - Corvallis Parks and Recreation Natural Areas are closed until further notice. The closure is due to continued extreme fire danger and limited firefighting resources currently available. This announcement includes the following natural areas: Bald Hill Natural Area; Brandis Natural Area; Chip Ross Natural Area; Forest Dell Natural Area; Herbert Farm Natural Area; Marys River Natural Area; Noyes Natural Area; Orleans Natural Area; Owens Farm Natural Area; Timber Hill Natural Area; and Witham Hill Natural Area. 

Hazardous Air Quality & Wildfire Resources - Air quality in our area remains unhealthy due to wildfire smoke. State resources regarding smoke and wildfires are below.

Wildfire Preparedness and Prevention Webinar Series - Back in May, the Oregon State University Extension Office predicted a challenging wildfire season due to COVID-19 and drought conditions across the state and released a two-part Wildfire Preparedness & Prevention Webinar Series.
