Halloween Safety Guidance and Activities -  COVID-19 cases have risen recently and holiday gatherings on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day led to increased case counts. The Benton County Health Department has provided guidance to make sure you have a safe and healthy Halloween this year. Choosing low risk Halloween plans can help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 illness. Read the Guidance.

  • IMPORTANT: Corvallis Downtown Trick-or-Treat is canceled. This difficult decision was made in the interest of our community's health and safety.
  • Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis is sponsoring a Trick or Treat Tunnel on Friday, October 30. Learn more.
  • With Corvallis Parks & Rec's Boo Bash in a Bag, your child will have tons of Halloween fun from the comfort of your own home. Sign up for a free bag full of Halloween themed activities, games, and - of course! - tricks and treats, to be picked up Oct. 31.

Meet the New Parks & Recreation Director - Meredith Petit has been hired as the new Parks and Recreation Department Director for the City of Corvallis. Petit will begin work today! Petit brings a broad background in parks management and recreation programming. Her previous work includes leadership positions at the City of El Segundo and the City of Agoura Hills in southern California. “I couldn’t be more excited to join the City of Corvallis as the next director of the beloved Parks and Recreation Department,” Petit said. “I look forward to working with the members of the community and with the dedicated staff to continue to provide the high quality parks and recreation programs they have come to expect and deserve.” Learn more about Meredith.

Free Mask Handout Event November 7 @ 9a - noon @ 2555 NW Highland Blvd (Crossroads Fellowship) - Face coverings help to keep our community healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community members in need of a face covering can obtain free masks during this event. Drive-up and walk-up options are available. Physical distancing is required. Voting Resources - The Benton County Elections Office website offers important dates, ballot drop-off sites, and a voter pamphlet. The State of Oregon offers an online means to track your ballot and confirm its receipt.  Secretary of State Website.

Advisory Board Restructuring Webinar & Survey - An Advisory Board Restructuring Ad Hoc Committee, comprised of City Council and staff representatives, has been evaluating the City's existing board structure through the summer of 2020 and has prepared recommendations that are scheduled for discussion during the City Council Work Session on November 19.  Watch a video. Tell us what you think.

OSU COVID-19 Policies and Reporting - Students living both on and off campus are required to follow the university's COVID-19 safety policies.  Community members who observe a violation can report the violation using the OSU Community COVID-19 Report Form.
