Mary's Annexation Scheduled for City Council Tonight- June 21 @ 6p @ online - The Mary's Annexation is an ~118.5 acre site located near the northeast corner of SW 53rd Street and SW West Hills Road. The City Council will hold a limited public hearing to review the proposed annexation agreement. The public hearing is limited to the review of the annexation agreement only. Fabulous, Fantastic All-American, Everyone Can Join, 4th of July Parade - July 4 @ 9:30am - This has been an annual Corvallis tradition for the past 36 years. The parade will assemble on Eighth Street near the Central Park Gazebo at 930 and will depart promptly at 10am. For questions or to volunteer, please email Parade Organizer, Steven Black. Traffic control volunteers are being sought - get involved!
Corvallis Middle Housing Project Recommendations - The Corvallis Middle Housing Departmental Advisory Committee has completed its primary task of helping staff and the City's consultant, Angelo Planning Group, prepare code and policy recommendations associated with the Middle Housing Code Update. A final recommendations report and audit of existing Land Development Code provisions are now available on the project page. The project is moving into the next phase, which includes additional policy review, work sessions, and finally, public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council, to occur later in 2021. Corvallis School District Summer Updates - The Corvallis School District administrative office will be closed to the public from July 1 – 31. The district office will re-open following regular hours on August 2. All schools in the district are closed and will re-open for summer hours (9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 3 pm) on August 9. (Temporary school office locations for Lincoln, Wildcat, and Jaguar will be announced in July)
- Garfield Elementary - The school playground will be closed to the public periodically throughout the summer for construction.
- Lincoln Elementary – The entire school campus will be closed to the public all summer for construction activities. The new school will open next fall.
- Wildcat Elementary – The school playground will be closed to the public all summer for construction activities. Wildcat Park will remain open.
- Jaguar Elementary – The school playground will be closed to the public all summer for construction activities.
In addition to these four sites, construction activities are underway at Corvallis High, Crescent Valley High, Cheldelin Middle School, and Husky Elementary. Jobs Addition Neighborhood Associations Weekly Work Party - Neighbors are invited to a weekly (work) party every Friday from from 5:30 - 6:30p at Corvallis High School. Bring your own gloves, hand tools, and masks and put in an hour in the sun along Dixon Creek. Learn more.
Woodland Park Monthly Work Parties - If you own a dog, love sunsets or sunrises or live in Ward 7, Woodland Park is already on your radar. Monthly work parties are expected to continue through the summer as volunteers improve trails, trim back brush, and remove pesky scotch broom. Join the fun!
