The City’s portfolio of municipal buildings is a significant public asset that the community over time has paid for, through taxes and fees, to construct, remodel, and maintain. Years of under-investment in City facilities resulted in facilities that are increasingly undersized, outmoded, and approaching the end of their service life.
In the first half of 2022, the City Council and staff reviewed the best way to fund the necessary work on City facilities to remedy the significant shortcomings identified in the Facilities Needs Assessment Project.
Regular Council meetings and twice-monthly work sessions will once again take place at Council Chambers, located on the second level of the Downtown Fire Station, 400 NW Harrison Blvd.
