City Legislative Committee

The City Legislative Committee (CLC) discusses issues affecting City government, and makes recommendations to the City Council on City positions, which may then be forwarded to legislators.  

Mayor Maughan and Councilors Cadena, Bowden, Ellis and Shaffer are members of the CLC for the 2025-2026 term.

Meeting dates, times, and locations are posted on the City's web calendar and meeting agendas and minutes are available through the Archives site

 Osborn Aquatic Center is a large aquatic facility that has four different pools that are available for Lap Swimming, Open Recreation, Toddler Time, Swim Practice, Swimming Lessons, Water Polo Tournament, and much more!

Outdoor Pools

Osborn Aquatic Center Outdoor Pools offers great fun for the entire family during the Summer Time! For more information give us a call at 541-766-SWIM (7946).


Fun Facts About the Otter Beach Pools:

  • The Water Channel was the first of its kind in the state of Oregon.
  • The water slide is the second longest slide at a public swimming pool in the state (estimated at an approximate ride of 12 seconds).
  • Both pools are made by Myrtha, which is based in Italy. The walls for each pool were manufactured there and shipped to Oregon.

Indoor Pools

City Charter

The City of Corvallis was incorporated on January 28, 1857.

The City Charter functions as the city's constitution and contains the most up-to-date local laws governing the city.

The current City Charter was revised in 2021 and is available online as a 21-page PDF.

Council Meeting Materials

Council meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:00 pm; if the Monday is a holiday, meetings are held the following Tuesday. The meetings are usually in the Downtown Fire Station, 400 NW Harrison.  A link to the calendar is available here
