Qualifications

When is a Re-roof Permit Needed?

A permit is required for the re-roofing of most structures regulated by the Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC), including commercial / industrial buildings and multi-family dwellings such as apartments and townhomes.  Section R105.2 of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code exempts the re-roofing of one- and two- family dwellings from permits in most cases.
