Downtown Vitality Strategy Task Force publishes final report

July 7, 2026 - The Downtown Vitality Strategy Task Force (DVSTF) has issued its final report to the Corvallis City Council with recommendations about specific actions and strategies to improve downtown Corvallis. The report is available on the City website and is scheduled to be presented to the Council at the July 20, 2026 meeting.

 Corvallis, Ore. – On Thursday, July 2, 2026, at approximately 2:11 p.m., Corvallis Police officers responded to Pioneer Park, 1300 SW Philomath Boulevard, following reports of a man throwing rocks and threatening people with a knife.

Toddler Time

Children age 6 and under are invited to enjoy a fun, mellow time at Osborn Aquatic Center before Open Recreation at Otter Beach. This relaxed experience is designed to help infants and toddlers grow comfortable in the water. A parent or guardian 14 years or older must accompany the children in the water and be within arm's reach.

Regular admission rates apply. Diaper requirement: non-toilet-trained swimmers must wear plastic lined, reusable, non-disposable swim diapers. No disposable swim diapers.

Research

The Corvallis Forest welcomes access for projects and research that align with the guiding principles and access policy of the Corvallis Forest Stewardship Plan.  The watershed's primary function is to provide drinking water for the City of Corvallis. To this end, the watershed is managed to enhance ecosystem functions that ultimately supports clean drinking water.

June 29, 2026 - On Tuesday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Corvallis Police officers responded to the 100-block of SW Avery Avenue after receiving a report of an assault.

City Council Executive Session
