Tony Cadena
A second-generation son of immigrant parents, Tony Cadena grew up and started his career in the Bay Area, moving to Corvallis in 1995. His 2 now-grown daughters attended Corvallis public schools. Tony’s interest in public service started in high school as a member of the first San Jose Youth Commission. His upbringing, education, and diverse career paths reflect his drive to learn, to improve, to excel, to pay back the communities he’s been a part of, and to inspire the next generation.
Tony has had multiple careers: senior manager for Hewlett Packard in Finance and Operations (25 years), Contributing Professor at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University (12 years), CFO for Viewplus Technologies (4 years), consultant, and Board Member on many nonprofit boards including The Arts Center, The Children’s Book Bank, and Global Nutrition Empowerment. He has undergraduate degrees in Economics and Psychology and an MBA, all from Stanford University.
Tony aims to serve Corvallis by listening, engaging, and collaborating with all to reach thoughtful decisions that are fiscally responsible and sustainable to achieve attainable, measurable outcomes. His top issues include economic vitality and opportunity, safety and infrastructure, livability, and affordable housing.
