Residential Beekeeping Resource Guide

Oregon State University's Extension Office published "Residential Beekeeping: Best-practice guidelines for nuisance-free beekeeping in Oregon" in February 2018. This publication outlines guidelines for best practices for beekeeping in residential areas. It outlines the steps residential beekeepers can take to operate their bees in nuisance-free manner.

Stormwater Pond Maintenance Begins in April

Public Works will be conducting maintenance at city-owned detention ponds and other stormwater sites throughout the community, starting this month and continuing through June. The maintenance activities will include invasive vegetation and foreign debris removal efforts. Work will focus on about 25 sites, starting near NW Shooting Star Drive, then followed by Grand Oaks.

Public meetings will be held by the Budget Commission of the City of Corvallis, Benton County, State of Oregon regarding the City of Corvallis Proposed Budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019, on the following dates.

Economic Development Advisory Board

The Economic Development Advisory Board consists of six volunteer members appointed by the Corvallis Mayor and three appointed by the Benton County Board of Commissioners.  Membership of the Board represent emerging technology and manufacturing, green/sustainable business, professional services, retail and general business, higher education, health care, and the community at large.

South Corvallis Urban Renewal Plan Departmental Advisory Committee

The South Corvallis Renewal Plan Departmental Advisory Committee is authorized by the City Council to assist the Community Development Department in the evaluation and development of an urban renewal district plan for South Corvallis.

A quorum of the City Council may be present at this meeting.
