On Thursday, March 30, 2023, Officers with the Corvallis Police Department responded to an assisted living facility in the 5500 block of SW West Hills Road on an unrelated call for service. While inside the facility, the officers noticed a water leak developing in the roof on the second floor, which was steadily increasing flow with water pouring out of the light fixtures. Shortly afterward, a large part of ceiling on the second floor collapsed and water began to gush out of the attic space into the facility.

On Saturday March 25, 2023, Corvallis Police Officers arrested 43-year-old Charles Corriea of Beaverton for Online Sexual Corruption of a Child and Luring a Minor. Officers learned the suspect had been communicating online with who he believed to be a 16-year-old female. The suspect traveled to Corvallis and arranged to meet near a local hotel with a goal of engaging in a sexual encounter with the minor.

On March 22^nd, 2023, at approximately 3:05am, Officers from the Corvallis Police Department responded to the area of the Skate Park, 190 SW B Ave, for a report of a stabbing. A 41-year-old male, with no fixed address, was located with multiple life threatening stab wounds and transported via ambulance to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries. Detectives from the Corvallis Police Department were called in and the investigation is still ongoing.
