HUD Median Income Figures

The following income figures are determined and published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These figures are used by the City's Housing and Neighborhood Services Division to determine a household's eligibility for program assistance.

Starting and Growing a Business

Business License

There is no requirement for a business license in Benton County or the City of Corvallis. Depending on the type of business you are starting, there may be other types of licensing requirements. You will want to register your business name with the State Corporation Division regardless of the form of business you start (Sole proprietorship, Corporation, LLC).

Getting Started

Police Records Unit

The Corvallis Police Department Records Unit's charge is to serve the community and staff with information regarding police reports and other police records. Records staff provide front counter public reception, report review, report control, release of public information, records maintenance, data entry and records retrieval. The Records Unit controls the availability and confidentiality of all reports and records and maintains and distributes copies of records to authorized persons/agencies.

Request Public Records

The vast majority of records generated by the City of Corvallis (including elected officials and City staff) are considered public records under state laws and are available for inspection by the public.

Many records generated by routine City business, such as permits, annual reports, and meeting minutes, are available on the City website. Some records may be stored in the City's online archive. Other records may not be stored on the City website, but are available upon request.
