A coalition of five community in the mid-valley area has received $600,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for brownfield assessment and cleanup.

The community is invited to get to know their local paramedics and emergency medical technicians at a special event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23 at the downtown Fire Station, 400 NW Harrison Blvd.

“On Call: Emergency Medical Services in Corvallis and Benton County” will present an overview of the Corvallis Fire Department’s emergency medical capabilities and will introduce some of the people who make this vital system work every day. The event is free and open to the public.
