Additional Business Assistance Available Now Through December 30
December 11, 2020 - The Corvallis-Benton County Economic Development Office has three (3) additional assistance opportunities available to businesses in Benton County who have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Any business in Benton County is eligible for the following opportunities, including those based in North Albany.

Businesses interested in maximizing outdoor spaces to increase capacity can apply for a Tent Rental Grant. In partnership with local event equipment rental company, Special Occasions, the grant will cover expenses related to facilitating outdoor business including, tents, heaters and related items. The grant may cover rental costs incurred from the months of November and December up to a maximum of $4,000 per business. Interested parties should contact Special Occasions directly at 541-752-7255. Funds will be dispersed on a first come, first served basis until depleted or when the program expires on December 30.
Businesses that started in 2020 can now apply for a $5,000 grant through the 2020 New Business COVID-19 Grant Program from Thursday, December 10 through Wednesday, December 16 at 11:59 PST. Eligible businesses must have registered their business with the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office or began operation for the first time in Benton County between January 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020 and have fewer than 25 FTE (full time equivalent). Funds will be disbursed via lottery until depleted. Additional eligibility and application materials can be found at www.yescorvallis.org/resources.
In addition, free personal protective equipment (PPE) for businesses, including masks, gloves, and sanitizing wipes will be available for pickup at the Madison Avenue Meeting Room, 500 SW Madison Ave., Corvallis, on Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 12: 00 p.m.
These opportunities are funded by the CARES Act, which provides economic relief for individuals and small businesses through grants from state and local governments. CARES Act funding is scheduled to expire at the end of 2020.
