City Council

Pursuant to Governor Brown’s Executive Order 20-16, item 2.a., issued on April 16, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Monday’s City Council meeting will be online only. The Council Chambers will be closed to the public.  The agenda has been updated to reflect the Governor's order.  No other items in the originally published packet have been changed.

City Council

Due to the emergency declaration issued by the City Manager regarding the COVID-19 epidemic, the Monday, April 6 City Council meeting will be conducted with the Mayor and City Councilors via video conference.   At the beginning of the meeting, the Council is expected to vote to suspend its meeting rules, which includes not accepting verbal Community Comments at this meeting. 

Strategic Plan Monthly Updates

The Corvallis City Council receives regular updates on the current Strategic Plan throughout the year to ensure City operations are aligning with the long-term policy priorities of the City Council. These regular updates also serve as an important communications tool to help the Council and public engage with City services.

Public Notice of Land Use Public Hearing - City Council

Land Development Code §2.0.50.04 requires staff report publication seven days before the public hearing. To ensure adequate public notice, this hearing is now scheduled for October 7, 2019.

Start/Stop Water Service Now Available Online

City services customers now have the option to start or stop water service using an online service available at www.corvallisoregon.gov/startwater. To use the service, customers must first create an account. After the account has been created, customers will have the option to start or stop service, and to make other payments to the City of Corvallis.

Lodging Tax Registration

Lodging Providers and Lodging Intermediaries are required to submit a Lodging Tax Registration Form. The City of Corvallis and Benton County share a Lodging Tax Registration form. Please submit your form to the City (even if you are a lodging provider outside of City limits) and we will forward it onto the County.

Approval for property zoning must also be obtained from the City of Corvallis and Benton County Development Departments:

November 2019 - 9-1-1 Service District Measure 2-124

Benton County placed a measure on the November 5, 2019 ballot to establish a Benton County Service District for 91-1- Emergency Communications Services.  Voters passed the measure.
