Why Conduct a Facilities Needs Assessment?

The City's 2021 facility needs assessment was conducted to gather baseline informatoin about the work spaces that the City uses to serve the community. These spaces must be sufficient in terms of work flow efficiency, asset protection, interdepartmental collaboration, equity, and safety. Just like any other infrastructure system that the City manages, the building portfolio should be reviewed periodically to ensure it is keeping pace with evolving community demands and values, now and well into the future.

How did we get here? The citywide facilities project started in 2021 with an assessment that examined 17 buildings & sites in the City's portfolio.

Findings - 2021 Facilities Assessment Project

In 2021, the City of Corvallis conducted a Facilities Needs Assessment to study the condition and operational efficiency of its portfolio of public buildings. A total of 17 sites were ranked on a scale of 1 to 5, with 12 of the 17 sites having a ranking below 3.

The average ranking for a typical City building was 2.58.

Fair Housing Trainings 2021

The Cities of Corvallis & Albany partnered in October 2021 to offer two fair housing trainings for our communities. Recordings and materials associated with these trainings can be accessed below through April 2022. Links to handouts are found at the bottom of the page. For additional information regarding fair housing or to learn about other training opportunities, please contact the Fair Housing Council of Oregon.

Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry Department Advisory Committee Meeting

The Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry Department Advisory Committee Meeting will be held 9 am IN PERSON ONLY at the Corvallis Parks and Recreation Administration Building.
