Arrest Made in Dollar Tree Robberies

On April 14, 2023, at 1008 pm, Officers with the Corvallis Police Department were dispatched to the Dollar Tree located in the 2000 block of NW Circle Blvd for the report of a suspicious person trespassing in the stock room of the store after closing. When the officers arrived, through a window they could see the male suspect crouching down near the office of the store where employees were currently performing closing procedures.  Officers immediately made entry into the store and the suspect ran out the back door.

Barricaded Subject on NW 12th St

Corvallis Police Officers arrested an armed 42-year-old Corvallis man on Wednesday following a 45-minute standoff at his former residence on NW 12th Street. On April 19, 2023 at about 9:50 am, Officers responded to the 700-block of NW 12th St for a report that Zachery Cochrane broke into a residence he had been evicted from, locked himself inside and was possibly armed with knives.

November 2023 - City Livability Services Local Option Levy

On November 7, 2023, the City Livability Services Local Option Levy passed with 66.5% support.

On July 21, 2023, the City of Corvallis filed a Notice of Measure Election (SEL 802) with the Benton County Elections Division, and the City Livability Services Local Option Levy was assigned measure number #2-141.
