June 20, 2021 - The Corvallis Benton County Economic Development Office, in partnership with Pacific Power and the Oregon Clean Fuels Program, will distribute rebates of up to $1,200 for low-income individuals to purchase electric bicycles from local businesses. The funding is part of a $60,000 grant awarded to the City of Corvallis through the Pacific Power Oregon Electric Mobility Grant program. Update: The e-bike rebate program is now closed.

At a minimum, eligible individuals must be at least 18-years of age, reside in Benton County, be a Pacific Power customer, and earn 80% of area median income (AMI) or below, based on family size and income. Participating bike shops include Bike N Hike, Corvallis Cyclery, Corvallis Electric Bicycles, and Peak Sports Bike Shop. Total rebate amounts vary depending on a number of factors. If selected as a rebate recipient, personal, low-interest loans may be available.

This program is part of a city-wide effort to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and expand mobility options and opportunities for community members.
