City Offices Reopening to the Public on June 22
The City of Corvallis is reopening most offices and facilities to the general public on June 22. Visitors will be required to follow posted signs and maintain physical distancing while conducting business at City offices. In some cases, visitor traffic flow at certain entrances and exits will be managed to promote physical distancing. Masks or face coverings are strongly encouraged. Some City sites may have a limited supply of masks for customer use.
As always, many City services, including Parks and Recreation sign-ups, bill payments, and building permits, can be accessed online at www.corvallisoregon.gov.
All City locations will have signage to help customers follow current public health guidelines, including:
- Stay home if you or someone in your family are sick.
- Follow posted signs and guidelines during your visit.
- Maintain 6 feet of physical distance between visitors and staff.
- Strongly consider wearing a mask or face covering.
The City’s larger public facilities are not reopening to the general public. Osborn Aquatic Center is open for appointment-only lap swim and water exercise. The Main Library and branch libraries are closed to the public, although materials are being circulated via delivery service. Majestic Theatre is closed to the public, and some programming has moved online.
This latest announcement is part of the City’s cautious, measured reopening of offices and facilities that had been closed since March, when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Oregon. Benton County is currently in Phase Two of the Governor’s reopening plan.
Our reopening approach focuses on providing a safe and healthy path forward to reopen City offices, facilities, and programs. The latest information on reopening is available online at www.corvallisoregon.gov/reopening.
