Community Services Division

The Community Services Division, or uniformed patrol, is the "back-bone" or primary service delivery team of the police department. It comprises all of the uniformed police officers, detectives, crime analysis, community service officers, parking enforcement officers, K9 patrol officers and traffic/motorcycle officers.  

The Community Services Division is divided into specialty areas to more effectively meet the needs of the community. They are as follows:

What is National Night Out?

BMX Track

Location: 

South of downtown, on east side of 99W South, at the dead end of Chapman Place.  The address is 551 Chapman Place.

Size: 

5.8 acres 

The Corvallis BMX Track is popular among the middle and high-school set. The loop track offers soil berms from which to practice jumps and other BMX stunts. The park also feature a built-in spectator viewing area.

Accreditation

The Corvallis Police Department achieved their first, initial accreditation award in 1995 through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA).  Since 1995, we have remained accredited through CALEA while having undergone eight separate reaccreditation assessments.  Our last reaccreditation onsite took place in December, 2017, with a certificate of Advanced Meritorious Accreditation officially awarded at the CALEA conference in March, 2018. 

 

Office of the Chief - Administration Division

The Office of the Chief is responsible for the overall administration of the Police Department. Corvallis Police Chief Jason Harvey is the liaison for Municipal Court, State and Federal law enforcement; public and media relations; strategic planning; communication between the Department and the City Manager's Office, City Council, and community to ensure responsiveness to community priorities; and provides internal leadership and staff development.

Crystal Lake Sports Fields
