Housing & Community Development Advisory Board

 

The Housing and Community Development Advisory Board (HCDAB) formulates and recommends policies on housing and community revitalization issues, with an emphasis on older, declining, or lower income neighborhoods. Read more about HCDAB here.

Other Down Payment Assistance

Additional down payment assistance programs are offered in our community. DevNW, a private non-profit community development corporation, provides services and programs to help buyers navigate one of the most complex purchases of their lives.  DevNW offers assistance options, these programs include:

City Council

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend City Council meetings.  Meeting materials are typically available five days before the meeting. 

Members of the community wishing to offer comment in advance on topics appearing on any City Council agenda are encouraged to use the public input form at www.corvallisoregon.gov/publicinput.

Ambulance Billing

City of Corvallis Ambulance Service offers patients a financial hardship / charity adjustment program; providing an opportunity to reduce the balance on their account if they apply and qualify for financial hardship.

Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry Department Advisory Committee

 

The public is invited to attend this department advisory committee meeting.  Entrance is around the back of the building, off the deck.

Current Vacancies on City Advisory Boards

Vacancies are announced monthly. Some boards have specialized requirements for membership, but most are open to anyone in the community.

Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The public is invited to dispose of old, unused, unwanted, or expired medications at a prescription drug take-back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 27 at Republic Services, 110 NE Walnut Blvd.

Safely disposing of prescription drugs at events such as these are a better alternative to flushing them down the toilet. The collection event will gather most prescription and over-the-counter medications, with no questions asked. Participants are advised to remove medications from their packaging to save space and to mark out names or any other identifiable information on labels.

Economic Development Advisory Board Meeting

The Economic Development Advisory Board consists of six volunteer members appointed by the Corvallis Mayor and three appointed by the Benton County Board of Commissioners.  Membership of the Board represent emerging technology and manufacturing, green/sustainable business, professional services, retail and general business, higher education, health care, and the community at large.
