Notice of Budget Commission Meetings FY 2022-2023

Public meetings will be held by the City of Corvallis Budget Commission (BC) and the South Corvallis Urban Renewal Agency Budget Commission (URABC), Benton County, Oregon in respect of the Proposed Budgets for the City of Corvallis and the South Corvallis Urban Renewal Agency for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023. Meetings will occur on the following dates:

  1. May 3, 2022, the URABC will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed budget. URABC deliberations and recommendation will follow the public hearing. City of Corvallis BC will receive the City of Corvallis Budget Message.
  2. May 5, 9 and 10, 2022, Department presentations with questions and responses from Department Directors will take place (BC only).
  3. May 11, 2022, the BC will conduct public hearings to receive comments on the Proposed City of Corvallis budget and use of State Revenue Sharing funds. Deliberations and recommendation will follow the public hearing (BC only).
  4. May 12, 2022, tentative meeting, only to be held if an additional meeting is needed.

The May 5, 2022, meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., and all others will begin at 6:00 p.m. All meetings will be held online only. Interested parties may observe the meetings remotely by signing up at: www.corvallisoregon.gov/calendar and selecting the meetings you wish to attend. Written testimony is strongly recommended; email to the address below, or submit via US mail. People who wish to testify via the telephone must register by 12:00 noon on May 10, 2022 at the address or phone number below. Staff will call each individual when it is their turn to testify. Written testimony must be submitted prior to 12:00 noon on May 10, 2022 to the Budget Inquires email address below.

A copy of the budget document will be available on April 26, 2022, at the City’s website at www.corvallisoregon.gov/finance under the Finance Department, Budget, FY 22-23 Proposed Budget, along with a physical copy for viewing on-site at the City Hall front desk. You may obtain a printed copy of the budget documents by calling 541-766-6990 extension 0 and making arrangements to pay for and pick up a printed copy.
