Notice of Budget Commission Meetings FY 2021-2022
Public meetings will be held by the Budget Commission (BC) of the City of Corvallis and the South Corvallis Urban Renewal Area Budget Commission (URABC), Benton County, Oregon in respect of the Proposed Budgets for the City of Corvallis and the South Corvallis Urban Renewal Area for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. Meetings will occur on the following dates:
- May 4, 2021, the URABC will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed budget. Deliberations and recommendation will follow the public hearing. BC will receive the City of Corvallis Budget Message.
- May 6, 10 and 11, 2021, Department presentations with questions and responses from Department directors will take place (BC only).
- May 12, 2021, the BC will conduct public hearings to receive comments on the Proposed City of Corvallis budget and use of State Revenue Sharing funds. Deliberations and recommendation will follow the public hearing (BC only).
All meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. online only. Interested parties may observe the meetings remotely by signing up at: www.corvallisoregon.gov/calendar, select the meetings you wish to attend. Written testimony is strongly recommended; email to the address below, or submit via US mail. People who wish to testify via the telephone must register by 12:00 noon on May 11, 2021 at the address or phone number below. Staff will call each individual when it is their turn to testify. Written testimony must be submitted prior to 12:00 noon on May 11, 2021 to Ryan Seidl at the addresses below.
A copy of the budget document will be available on May 5, 2021 at the City’s website at www.corvallisoregon.gov/finance under the Finance Department, Budget, FY 21-22 PROPOSED BUDGET, along with a physical copy for viewing on-site at the City Hall front desk. You may obtain a printed copy of the budget documents by calling 541-766-6990 extension 0 and making arrangements to pay for and pick up a printed copy.
