New Oregon Residential, Plumbing and Electrical Specialty Codes

New Oregon Residential, Plumbing and Electrical Specialty Codes have been adopted

Please be advised that as of October 1, 2023, the 2023 Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC) is now in effect.  There is a six-month phase in period for the ORSC, which allows customers to use the old code or opt to follow the new 2023 version. City staff will assume customers are going to be utilizing the old code unless it is requested to follow the 2023 ORSC.  Effective April 1, 2024, the 2023 ORSC will be used for all new residential building applications.

Additionally, as of October 1, 2023, the 2023 Oregon Electrical Specialty Code and the 2023 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code has been adopted and are in effect.  There is no phase-in period allowed for implementing these new codes.
